Barbara Braithwaite

Barbara Jean Braithwaite, affectionately known as "Buttermilk" by her family and friends, was born on July 16, 1958, in Fort Pierce, Florida, and passed away on June 30, 2026, in Rochester, New York, at the age of 67.

Barbara dedicated more than thirty years of her life to caring for others through her work in the nursing profession. She was a devoted woman of faith who loved reading her Bible, praying for her family, and encouraging others through prayer. Her strength, independence, compassion, and unwavering love for her family were hallmarks of her life.

Barbara will be remembered for her vibrant personality, love of music, cooking, family gatherings, and heartfelt conversations. She brought warmth, laughter, and joy into the lives of so many and leaves behind countless cherished memories.

Barbara is survived by her four children, Lamont Fields (Cherita), Noel, Shane and Jerrod Braithwaite, thirteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, her nine brothers and sisters, extended family, and many dear friends whose lives were touched by her love and kindness. Her faith, prayers, and legacy of love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and her love will remain in our hearts forever.
