Gates: Passed peacefully Wednesday February 15, 2017 at age 77.
She is survived by her loving fiancé, Robert Behrend; brother, Phillip (Maureen) Fritz; nieces, Laura Fritz, Stacie (Matt) Hashem; faithful furry friends, Daisy Mae, George, Sammy; extended family and friends.
Barbara dedicated her life to animal welfare.
Family will receive friends 1-3 PM Thursday, February 23, 2017 at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., followed by a service at 3 PM. Private interment, Riverside Cemetery.
Donations in Barbara's name may be made to The Humane Society at Lollypop Farm.
