Who She Was:
Mom had a larger than life personality and had a Huge Heart. I always wondered how that little body could carry that big heart around every day but she managed. Mom was full of Life. Mom would take anyone in, and talk to anybody anywhere- truly had the gift of gab. It could take an hour and a half to go to Wegman's-- she was talking to everyone! But mostly, Mom just loved just spending time with her family- her kids , grand kids, great grand kids, great grand dogs and great grand cats. Sometimes we could just sit around the kitchen table for hours just talking laughing/ arguing /fighting…she loved the holidays Christmas Eve, Christmas Day (breakfast w/ the Weinstein's) and a big Lasagna for Christmas Dinner., Easter (Leg of Lamb), Thanksgiving (Big Ass Turkey)Golf – Mom was an excellent Golfer and won many 9-hole women's tournaments and has a number of trophies upstairs to show for it! (and show off). She also loved Crossword puzzles (stacks of crossword books always laying around). Avid reader – she love the John Grisham books and had stacks of books about Birds all types of Birds. Painting: She took Art Classes at RIT and stenciled and painted a number or pieces including a portrait size picture of my brother John. She had a "Match Collection" from various trips and places she visited with Dad.Girl Scout Leader. Business card collector- if you every gave Mom a business card, I guarantee she still has it !

Football-Buffalo Bills , Horse Racing- Race Track- Finger lakes , Batavia Downs, attending our sports games ( I could always hear her screaming out my name from the stands-how embarrassing) She was a hockey Mom! She also loved going to Bingo with Lindsay and Mike.
Volunteer Work:

American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Hadassah Thrift shop. In 1968, Mom worked on my Uncle Mario's election team as he made a run for Mayor of the City of Rochester.

Mom sat on the Grand Jury work during the 1964 Rochester Race Riots. This was a scary time and a bold effort on Mom's part as she had to be walked out to her car by police officers after court each day.
She loved Dogs (Suzette, Holly, and now Jessie) and her Cat Sony. She loves Birds. She even loved the Aflac Duck!

Cooking: – Her kitchen
She was a "Domesticated House Cat"- She loved her kitchen- I had a hard time pulling her away. She was very particular – especially loading the dishwasher- Paula changing dishes around 10 times in the dishwasher to get them just right over Mom's judgmental, watchful and peering eyes.
Favorite Meals: Tuna Casserole, Sauce- Lasagna, Rigatoni (every Sunday) Meat Balls and Sausage. Meat Loaf, Hot Roast beef Sandwiches with mashed potatoes. Sunday afternoon pasta with the house smelling so wonderful oh "That Sauce
Momisims:

Finally Mom had these "Momisims"- "Life's a Bitch," "Who said you can go," "That's Genies Plane as they go right over our house," "I can't replace you," "Tiger Wood," "Wal-Marts," "Sangwitches," "Open the Lights" (vs. turning the lights on).

Final Goal:
Dancing at Lindsay and Mike's Wedding…. Goal Accomplished! Now she dances on tulips in Heaven.

Mostly she was very proud of all of her 5 kids and how we all found success in our chosen fields. She would always boast to others "my daughter Patti is doing this" or my son "Stevie built that"- of course embellishing along the way. Sometimes she would be telling someone about me, when I was home, my son Gene did that- and I asked myself "when did I ever do that"? But mostly Mom taught us "survival skills"—if we had to, we could make it with very little and we were are and still all determined.

The family will receive friends, Tuesday, September 4th from 4-7 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd. Jean's Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at 10 AM at Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Parish at St. Margaret Mary Church, 401 Rogers Parkway, Rochester, NY 14617. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Our Mom: "Jean"

Thank you all for coming to this celebration for our mother we all knew as "MOM". This is something we all go through in life and it is tough, but she is now truly in a better place with Jesus.

She is at peace, pain free, all the "AIR" she can breathe, all the "WATER" she can drink as she starts her new journey into eternity. Beatrice Jean- should take comfort knowing that we will all be fine and thriving and we will take care of her husband, Gene (OUR DAD) of 61 years… Also, she should be at ease knowing that the Buffalo Bills will stink again this year- having just gone winless in the preseason 0-6! So many things will be the same and she will still be with us in spirit.

God Speed Mom- "Let not your heart be troubled" as we will all be fine here on earth. We will miss you in the flesh Mom- but know that you are with us still in spirit.
We all Love You Mom
