Belva J. Jenks, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026, in her hometown of Rochester, New York. Born on October 25, 1944, she brought warmth and love into the lives of those around her throughout her journey on this earth.
Belva dedicated many years of her life to her career at Monroe County DDS, where she made a significant impact on the community. Her devotion to her work mirrored her passion for her family and the cherished moments they shared. She had an infectious spirit and an unparalleled love for reading, often losing herself in the myriad of books that filled her extensive collection.
In addition to her literary pursuits, Belva found joy in her many crafts, channeling her creativity into beautiful projects that adorned her home and warmed the hearts of her loved ones. Baking was another one of her passions; she relished the opportunity to create delicious treats for her family, a sweet gesture that became synonymous with her nurturing nature.
Belva’s heart expanded even further with the addition of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating a legacy of love that will continue through them. She is survived by her two sons, Gary (Noreen LiButti) Paige and Shawn (Kimberly Carter) Jenks, as well as her daughter-in-law Robin (Zimmerman) Paige. In her proudest moments, she adored being surrounded by her grandchildren: Kenneth (Chelsea) Wells, Nicholas Paige, Michael Paige, Morgan Paige, Cheyenne Paige, Kyle Zimmerman, and Austin Jenks, along with her four great-grandchildren. The family’s strength and bond are testaments to the love that Belva instilled in each generation.
Belva is predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Isabella Nau Rudgers, her brother Robert Rudgers, her sister Janet Young, and her son Raymond Paige, who left this world in 2026. Their absence left a void in her heart, but the memories and love they shared will forever remain a part of her story.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Belva’s life with a viewing on March 13, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, Westside, located at 2636 Ridgeway Ave, Rochester, NY. A funeral service will follow on March 14, 2026, at 11:00 AM, also at New Comer Funeral Home, with burial taking place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery at 12:00 PM.
Belva J. Jenks will be deeply missed, but her beloved family remembers her with immense love, gratitude, and the cherished memories they created together.
