Bessie G. Lester

Bessie Gertrude Wright Lester "Ms. B"

Born in 1919 in Green County Georgia to Minnie Griffin and William Wright. "Bill" as she was known to her family, worked as an aid in a school cafeteria in Georgia and at Scripto Pen Factory. In the early 1970's Bessie owned and operated the family business B.P.& C Variety store, In Harlem NY along with her husband, Howard Lester. She was beloved by a host of family and friends.
