Rochester: 1/12/1926 - 4/19/2011. Born in Scranton, PA and a resident in Rochester, NY; Canadaigua, NY; and finally, Sun City, Hilton Head, SC. Graduated Phi Beta Kappa fiom Illinois University in 1944 and worked at Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, NY for 40 years, starting in the mail room and working her way up to a much admired technical writer position before retiring in 1984. Betty is predeceased by her mother, Bernice Lubes, and two brothers, Walter and Frederick Lubes. Betty is survived by her two nephews, Marty Lubes and Michael Lubes, and two nieces, Jennifer Manley and Adrienne Little as well as several great nieces and nephews. Betty enjoyed playing piano and excelled at golf, tennis, and bowling. She will be remembered for her ability to get things done quickly and for her kind and caring ways.
The family will receive friends Saturday, July 30th from 4-6 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue.
