Brighton: Brian passed quietly Sunday afternoon March 16, 2014 with his wife and his children by his side. It was the perfect "crossover day" when winter turns to spring, a perfect day for skiing in the morning and canoeing in the afternoon. Brian chose a wonderful day for his own crossing over. He was pre- deceased by his parents, John and Phyllis and infant sister, Mary. He is survived by his best friend and devoted wife of 25 years, Kelly; son, Connor James; daughters, Shannon Elizabeth and Ellen Kathleen; step mther Loretto; sisters, Kathleen (David) Drake, Karen (James) Reidy; brothers, James (Marsha) Walsh, John (Marcie) Walsh, Jr.; step sister, Karen Fitzgerald; step brother, Kevin (Jill) Fitzgerald; mother and father-in-law, Mary and James Shannon and many nieces and nephews. Brian was a member of the National Ski Patrol, Boy Scoutsof America Troop 37 and a longtime employee of Rochester Gas & Electric.

The family will receive friends Thursday, March 20th from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd. Brian's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10AM at Peace of Christ Parish at St. John the Evangelist Church, 545 Humboldt Street, Private Interment.
