Listen to Obituary

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved son, father, brother, and friend, Bryan Anthony Starkweather, who departed this life on August 3, 2025, at the age of 24, due to a tragic motorcycle accident.

Born on January 10, 2001, at Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY, Bryan was the cherished son of the late Ruth “Ginny” Starkweather and Daniel Bookhart.

Bryan faced life with a strong will and a loyal heart, despite the pain of losing his mother at the young age of 11—a traumatic loss that deeply impacted him. He missed her every day and carried her memory in his heart through all of life’s ups and downs.

Above all else, Bryan was a devoted and loving father to his three beautiful children: Amiyla, Josephine, and Bryan Jr.He loved spending time with them and found true joy in being their dad. His love for his children was endless, and he made every effort to be a constant, joyful presence in their lives.

Bryan is survived by his father Daniel Bookhart and his siblings: Jeffrey (Kashana), Ashley (Paul), Luzcinda (Tommie), Brieana, Dannie, Alivia, Daniel III, Erik, and Dillon. He and Daniel share both parents and have been through EVERYTHING TOGETHER. Their bond was unbreakable. He also leaves behind a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as countless friends who were touched by his vibrant spirit.

Bryan’s passions included riding his motorcycle, playing video games, fishing, playing sports—especially football and baseball—and rooting for his favorite team, the Philadelphia Eagles. He loved to joke around, talk trash with friends, and find new ways to spend quality time with his children.
