Caden Cole Schadt

July 5, 2007 — September 24, 2012

Passed away unexpectedly on September 24, 2012, at the age of five. Dear sweet son, beautiful boy, loving brother and best friend. Caden is survived by his loving parents, Kurt and Colette Schadt, and loving big sister, Chloë Schadt; grandparents, Rosalie Thiel, and Ann Terwilliger & Carl Schadt; uncles, Griffin Thiel, Carl, Calvin & Chris Schadt; many great uncles and aunts, cousins, and many dear friends.

Caden was a loving, intelligent, handsome, brave and very sweet boy. He was such a happy boy and was known for his great sense of humor and wonderful laugh. He was a very loving and affectionate, sweet, huggable boy. Caden was kind to people. He loved his friends and family (and dear friends who were like family to him), Jehovah God, going in service, attending congregation meetings and commenting at them. He loved singing with the congregation too. Caden was "all- boy", brave, and he loved playing outside, being in the pool, running around outdoors, going for walks, and riding his bike; he loved cars, trains, planes, and building things. He liked playing chess and games. He was a smart boy, began reading at three, was great at brain-teasers and puzzles, video games and iPad games, like Where's My Water?, Angry Birds and Angry Birds Space, and Gravity, to name a few. He loved art, painting and drawing, loved Disney, Mickey Mouse, and especially Phineas and Ferb. He got to travel to places, like Walt Disney World, Florida, and New York to see the Yankees play. He loved to help people, like vacuuming, Kingdom Hall cleaning, or helping in other ways. He was creative and had a great imagination.

Caden loved spending time with family, friends, and the friends that he adopted like family. He really loved his big sister, Chloë, and often people would comment on how obvious it was that they loved each other and how they were often hugging. They loved to play together and were very close. He was such a sweet boy, and would do things like leave little love notes around for his family, and would get excited at how happy it made all of us. He was a Mama's Boy, very close to his mom. He would get so excited when he knew his grandma was coming over or when she'd surprise him by stopping by. He loved spending time with and visiting many, many friends, like the Ward, Koenig, and Rechsteiner families, and all of his dear friends, including the other young ones at the Kingdom Hall. He loved people, and made those special to him feel very special.

Caden has often been described as "sunshine". He had this ability to make anyone smile. People could not walk past him without smiling. He was often smiling and his beautiful blue eyes always "smiled". He had such personality, a wonderful personality, and that will be greatly missed.

Caden loved music, singing and dancing. Just a few months before he passed away, many enjoyed seeing him dancing all evening at a wedding, where he and his sister had a dance they performed.

He will be greatly missed.
