Irondequoit: Thursday, February 3, 2011 at age 88. Predeceased by his loving wife, Gloria (Harris) Rode; and mother-in-law, Rose Harris. He is survived by his sons, Jay (Elaine) Rode and Craig (Marilyn) Rode; grandchildren, Jacqueline, Ashley, Blake, Brittany and Tyler; nephew, Carl LeClair; and very special friend, Ethel Vogt.

Carl was an active member of the Holy Cross Anglican Church of North America in Webster,a WWII Navy Veteran, past commander of the American Legion and a retiree of RG&E after 35 years of service.

Family and friends may call Monday, February 7th, 4-8 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. His Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, 11 AM at Holy Cross Anglican Church of North America, 615 Bay Road, Webster, NY. Private Interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, 100 Exchange Blvd., Rochester, NY 14614 in Carl's memory.
