Carmen Powers

Pittsford, NY: After a courageous 8 year battle against breast cancer, Carmen finally succumbed on December 12, 2012. She is survived by her husband of 32 years Jack, her sons John and Christopher, her brother Peter Animagi, four brother and sister in laws and numerous nephews and nieces. Carmen was born in Germany, immigrated to the United States with her family as a child and resided in Chicago until she moved to the Rochester area with her husband. She graduated from the University of Illinois and had an MBA from Northwestern University. She had a distinguished career in brand management at Procter and Gamble and Mobil Oil, was a Vice President at the Leo Burnett Advertising Agency in Chicago and discovered her true passion as a professor at Monroe Community College for the past 20 years. Carmen cherished her time with her family and her two dogs and cat.

Family and friends will celebrate Carmen's life at a funeral mass at St. Catherine of Siena on Thursday (Dec. 20) at 11AM, 28 Mendon-Ionia Rd., Mendon NY. with a reception following. Flowers may be sent to St. Catherine Church or donations to the American Cancer Society.
