Carol Sue Guild

Carol (Padgett) Guild, 85, formerly of Greece, NY, passed away on September 30, 2026 at the Episcopal Church Home, after a long battle with dementia.

Born on September 17,1941 in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of Walter and Beatrice Padgett. On December 9, 1961, she married John R Guild who passed away on September 18, 2025.

Carol was a graduate of Hornell High School where she met her beloved husband, John. She proceeded to the Doyle School of Beauty Culture in Buffalo and began her career in Cosmetology with the Ace Beauty Salon of Rochester.

She was an active and dedicated member of the Greece United Methodist Church. Volunteering her time and talent as a youth Sunday School teacher. As a member of the Miriam Circle, she developed and cherished many lifelong friendships.

Carol enjoyed shopping, traveling, entertaining, cheering on the Buffalo Bills and most of all spending time with her three grandchildren.

Predeceased by her sister, Rita [Charles] Kinney. She is survived by her daughters, Sue Guild, Jennifer [Steve] Ranck, Leah [Eamon] McCormack; grandchildren, Addison, Alexander, and Marin; as well as many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

A memorial service will be held on October 17, 2026 at 11am at Greece United Methodist Church.

Carol lived a full life as a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
