Chester, Cecille J.
Gates: Passed peacefully Sunday December 16, 2012 at age 71 with her daughter at her side. She was predeceased by her husband, James Chester. She is survived by her daughter, Celia (Phil Carey). Cecille was a member of the Red Hat Society Sizzling Sisters where she was known as Lady Glamour Puss. She was a member of the Brook Lea Country Club. She loved to travel and sing in the choir at St. Luke-St. Simon Cyrene Church. She will always be remembered as the great love she had for her daughter.
The family will receive friends Friday December 21st from 4-7 at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. Cecille's Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 10 AM at the St. Luke-St. Simon Cyrene Church, 17 S. Fitzhugh St. Interment, Mt. Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Smile Train, PO Box 96231, Washington, DC 20090-6231.
