Charles E. "Chuck" Higgins

Chuck passed away peacefully at the age of 90, on 8/12/26. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Cold War. Once he left the service, he married the love of his life, Gloria (DeBellis). They were happily married for 67 years. He was an employee of Eastman Kodak for 35 years. After he retired, he loved spending time with his family at their cottage in the 1000 Islands. Many fish stories were fabricated and exaggerated during those years.

In September 2019, he and his son Jim thoroughly enjoyed flying to Washington DC as part of Honor Flight Mission 67. That was a fitting tribute for his military service.

Chuck was predeceased by his grandson, Tommy. His brothers Arnold and Richard. 

He is survived by his wife Gloria, sister and brother-in-law Helen and Rob, sons and daughter-in-laws Tom and Linda, Jim and Karen, Tim and Melissa. He was “Papa” to his grandchildren Breanna and Ian, Jennifer and Jim, Heather, Emily and Abigail. Great-grand children, Evangeline, Delaney, Nora, Gavin, Luca and Aramis. Nieces and nephews,

The family will receive guests, 5-7pm Tuesday August 18, 2026 at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. (between Long Pond Rd. and Elmgrove Rd.) On Wednesday morning, please assemble at the Lake Ave Gate of Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 2461 Lake Ave. Rochester, NY 14612 at 10:45 am for Chuck's funeral service to be held in the chapel of All Saints Mausoleum at 11am. Military honors by the United States Army for Chuck's dedicated service to his country.
