Sharp, Charles E.
Greece: July 28, 2013 at age 93. He is survived by his beloved wife of 75 years, Dorothy; sons, Edward (Jackie) Sharpe, Ronald Sharpe and Gordon (Caroline) Sharp; grandchildren, Susan Pluta, Sharon (David) Hodownes, Christine (Rick) Centola, Tracey (Joseph) Vernaccini and Jason (Andrea) Sharp; great-grandchildren, Peter, William and Charles Pluta, Abigail, Nicholas, Theodore, and Elizabeth Hodownes, Sara, Joseph, and Thomas Centola, Joseph, Caroline, and Baby Vernaccini, and Ryan Sharp; several nieces and nephews.
Charles worked at Eastman Kodak for 40 years and was an Air Warden during World War II. In his spare time he enjoyed bowling, snowmobiling and waterskiing. He was an avid camper; affectionately called "Wagon Master" by his fellow campers. In his younger years, Chuck played semi-pro soccer with the Lakesiders. After hanging up his cleats and starting his family, Chuck helped establish the Rochester Lions Youth Hockey League. For Years Chuck always "missed" Santa's appearance on Christmas Eve; somehow, he was always
'called into work' at Kodak. Upon retirement, Chuck and Dorothy wintered in Lakeland, FL for 32 years.
Friends may call Wednesday July 31st, 10 AM-12 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. His Memorial Service will follow at Noon. Interment, Falls Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lifetime Hospice or Unity Transitional Care Center.
