Charles Reilly went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 27, 2016 at the age of 84.
Charles is survived by his steadfast and loving wife of 59 years, Mary Lou, three children, Brian (Sherry), Mary Mattle, and Suzanne (Mark) Palmer, eight grandchildren, and his brother Michael and sisters Muriel and Ellen (James) McCormick.
Charles was born in Watertown, N.Y. to his parents Charles and Catherine Reilly. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1951-1954. After an honorable discharge, he returned to upstate New York to work at Eastman Kodak, where he met Mary Lou. The two were married in 1956 and moved to Webster to begin their life as a family. Charles continued to work at Eastman Kodak for several decades until his retirement in the mid-1990s.
Charles also worked in prison ministry for many years, sharing his love and knowledge of Jesus with incarcerated men to give them hope for their future, both now and in the hereafter.
In 2013, Charles took part in the Honor Flight program, which brought him down to Washington, D.C. to see several of the memorials and flew him back, where he was greeted by a sea of flags, applause and smiling faces.
Those of us who know and love him are better for it.
