Passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026 at the age of 94. He is predeceased by his parents Horace and Alta Thompson and all his siblings; he is also predeceased by granddaughter Alicia Thompson Healy.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Joanne Thompson; and his children, Joseph (Valerie) Thompson, Richard ( Celine ) Thompson and Lisa ( Richard ) Fornataro; Grandchildren, Heidi (John) Saller, Samual Thompson, Anisa ( Christopher) Kackley; and great Grandchildren, Gianna, Sawyer, Wells, Ellis and Grey; along with many nieces and nephews.
Chad was a long-time member of Local 13 Plumber and Pipe Fitters Union. Past Master of the Masonic Temple. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
We would like to Thank Latta Road East Nursing Home Staff for the care and compassion they showed our Father while he was a resident for the last years of his life.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 28, from 11AM to 1:30PM at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. A graveside service will be held shortly after at White Haven Memorial Park, 210 Marsh Rd.
