Charlotte Ann Rahn, a beloved educator and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025, in Rochester, New York. Born on December 7, 1952, in Brockport, Charlotte's journey through life was marked by her deep-rooted love for teaching and her unwavering dedication to her family.

After earning her master’s degree from Brockport, Charlotte embarked on a fulfilling career as a second-grade teacher at Churchville Central Schools. Her genuine passion for nurturing young minds left a lasting impact on countless students, who fondly remember her encouraging nature and her ability to bring learning to life. Charlotte approached education not just as a profession but as a vocation, believing deeply in the potential of every child who walked into her classroom.

Charlotte's legacy extends far beyond her professional accomplishments. She shared a profound partnership with her loving husband; Ronald Rahn of 53 years , whose support and love were integral to her joyful life. Together, they built a beautiful family that includes their devoted daughters, Tracy Short and Tammy Kramer. Charlotte's role as a mother was one she cherished deeply, and she took immense pride in witnessing the lives and achievements of her children unfold.

Her heart swelled with joy as she welcomed the arrival of her grandchildren, Colton and Annalise Short. Their laughter and antics brought a warmth to her life that words can scarcely capture. She lovingly referred to her grand dog, Lucy, as an important part of the family, always ensuring that this furry friend was included in family gatherings.

Charlotte is survived by her brothers Mark (Mary) Atwell and Gary Atwell, who will forever hold her memories close to their hearts. She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Robert and Mary Ann Gibney Atwell, who instilled in her a spirit of kindness and compassion that she carried throughout her life.

Throughout her years, Charlotte was not only an educator but also a friend, a confidante, and a guiding light to those fortunate enough to know her. Her presence brought comfort and encouragement to everyone around her, and her legacy of love will continue to resonate through the lives she touched. In remembering Charlotte, we celebrate a life beautifully lived, filled with love, laughter, and relentless optimism for a better tomorrow.
