Christopher George Thompson born September 6th 1974 in Niagara Falls, passed away in Rochester on July 9th 2026. He was loved by so many.
Chris joined his mother, Betty Thompson; sister, Doris Prescott; and niece, Tiffany Carr, for whom he missed so very much.
He left behind his wife of 30 years, Tara Pios; the light of his life and reason for living, his daughter, Myah Pios-Thompson; and his best friend and brother, Richard DiBenedetto. He also leaves behind, his in laws, Denise Bedgood (Larry), Vinetta Thompson-Scott, Gene & Janice Pios, Tim & Karen Pios; niece, Natalia; adopted parents, Barbara and Gary Lester; chosen son, Quincy Dasher; and many others who he considered family.
Chris had many jobs in life, but found his true calling towards the end of his life working with children. He loved being a paraprofessional and looked forward to going to school 45 every day.
Chris loved traveling and good food. He lived and fought his illness hard for his daughter, he never wanted to let her down. He loved watching her play sports, and even became a referee so he could learn and support Myah better. Chris’ body is now out of pain but his spirit lives on in our hearts.
