Christina Simanas (Homner)

Henrietta: Went to be with the Lord, died peacefully at home on August 24, 2011 with her family at her side. She was born in Germany, January 24, 1924. Christina will be greatly missed by everyone. She was one of a kind, very outspoken said it like it was, but had a heart of gold. She gave to many charities and took good care of her family. She was predeceased by her husbands, Walter Simanas and William Homner; 2 daughters, Susan Rodola and Eva Loheide. She is survived by her sons, Ralph Homner and family of Ashville, N.C., Alvin (Debbie) Homner and family of Williamson, Billy (Martha) Homner and family of Rochester; daughter, Christina (Geoff) Gugel and family of Livonia; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, who loved her dearly; 4 sisters, Katrina Przyklek Jedrzejek, Elizabeth, Maryanne and Renee; 1 brother, Bruno; several nieces & nephews.

Calling hours will be held Monday, August 29, 2011 from 2-5 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd., Rochester, NY, where Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home at 5 PM. Burial will be made at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made to Hospice Visiting Nurse Service, 2180 Empire Blvd., Webster, NY 14580 or Lifetime Care, 3111 Winton Rd. S., Rochester, NY 14623.
