Christopher E. Marlowe, 62, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with cancer. He was born on July 25, 1963, in Philadelphia, PA, son of Keith and Brenda(Patelle).
He was united in marriage to Cynthia Masi on Jan 7, 2012. He had a full life enjoying so much time with family, friends and enjoying the outdoors.Motorcycle riding, being in a boat or swimming, hiking, or just hanging out with family and friends brought him great joy. He especially loved being silly and playing with any one of the 9 grandchildren. They loved him so much and called him the fun grandpa. His faith in God was most important and he loved sharing with anyone he knew or met the message of Christ Jesus his Lord and Savior. He had received his Chaplaincy card and had hoped to spread much more love and joy to the world. During his last few months he reached so many with that message and his love for people was so evident.
Chris owned and operated Christopher Marlowe General Contracting Services for over 40 years. He also loved collecting art and antiques and studying the great masters of art. Chris's love for art turned into a hobby as he picked up a paintbrush and began painting oil on canvas. As the years progressed his paintings became a legacy, as family and friends now have at least one of his paintings hanging in their homes and offices.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia; Brenda Rex(mother) his children Christopher Marlowe and Nicole Marlowe; stepchildren Scott (Becky) Masi, Kristina (James) Masi, and Steven (Bethany) Masi; siblings Millard Kim (Kathy) Marlowe, Keith Jr (Kelly) Marlowe, Valerie Chatterton, Mike (Janeen) Rex and Tim ( Katrina) Mosher , many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
