Greece: November 11, 2014 at age 90. She is predeceased by her parents, Maurice and Martha Volkmar; sister, Ellen Douglass; brothers, Clifford and Joseph; husband of 61 years, Norman V. Survived by her sons, Michael (Mary) and Stephen; daughters, Carolyn (John) Kerhaert and Nancy (George) Palmer; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
Clara was a 1944 graduate of St. Mary's School of Nursing, a 15 year evening supervisor at St. Ann's Home from 1963-1978. She was a member of the US Cadet Nurse Corps in Atlantic City Hospitals during WWII. The family wishes to thank the staff at Seabury Woods and 2N at the Episcopal Church Home for the care they showed our Mother.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
