Born and raised in Seneca Falls, NY, Colleen was a proud Captain of the cheerleading squad at Mynderse Academy. She later graduated from RIT, where she often reminded others playfully and proudly that she earned a perfect 4.0 GPA and graduated magna cum laude.
Colleen had an extraordinary passion for cooking and hosting. She simply couldn’t cook for one her meals were always generous, her doors always open, and her kitchen a place of comfort and connection. Nothing brought her more joy than gathering people around the house, feeding them with love, and making everyone feel welcome.
She also had a vibrant love for music and dancing. Whether it was Madonna, Fleetwood Mac or Steely Dan, she’d call just to share a song, turning up the volume and inviting joy into the moment. Colleen was always up for a good time, and her spirit was infectious.
Her bark could be bigger than her bite, but her love ran deep. If she cared about you, you knew it and she would do anything to protect you, especially her children. She also found peace in gardening, often excited to show off her latest blooms and share her green-thumbed pride.
Colleen’s legacy lives on in the warmth she gave, the laughter she sparked, and the unconditional love she offered to those lucky enough to know her.
