Constance Nauratil, a cherished member of her community and beloved family matriarch, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2026. Born on September 10, 1940, Constance led a life marked by devotion, compassion, and a deep commitment to her faith and loved ones.
Constance's unwavering love for her church was evident to all who knew her. She was an active participant in the Third Order of the Franciscans ministry, a testament to her dedication to her spiritual journey. Her passion for worship was further reflected in her enthusiasm for bible study and regular attendance at church services. Equally, she found great joy in singing—whether as part of the church choir or under the enchanting skies at opera performances—which brought light and harmony into the lives of those around her.
Constance was a gifted pianist, often filling her home with melodies late into the night as her children drifted off to sleep. Her creative spirit also flourished through her love for crocheting and knitting, crafts that allowed her to express warmth and care in every stitch. A devoted Buffalo Bills fan, she enjoyed watching their games.
Constance's life was beautifully intertwined with her family, who remember her as a source of strength and unconditional love. She is survived by her daughter, Valerie (Brian) Collins, and her son, William (Carol) Nauratil II, whose lives she profoundly shaped. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren—Ronald J. Spataro, Kristina R. Parks, Amber Nauratil, Terry Mathews—and several great-grandchildren who will carry forward her spirit and values. She is also fondly remembered by her brother, Joseph Ilardo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Nauratil; her daughter, Rosemarie Lortz; her granddaughter, Ashley Bates; her sister-in-law, Jeannette MacLeod; and her parents, Michael and Concetta, all of whom remain treasured in the hearts of those she loved.
In honor of her faith and the community she held dear, Memorial Mass will be held on April 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at The Parish of the Holy Family, located at 4100 Lyell Rd, Rochester, NY 14606. Following the service, burial will take place immidiately following Mass at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, situated at Lake Avenue, Rochester, NY 14612.
Constance Nauratil’s life was one of grace, song, and heartfelt dedication. She leaves behind an enduring legacy rooted in faith, family, and the simple joys that touched every day of her remarkable journey. Her memory remains a blessing to all who knew her, inspiring kindness, warmth, and devotion for generations to come.
