Cynthia C. Whited

Suddenly Monday July 28, 2028

Predeceased by her husband, Charles Whited. Parents, Edward and Dorothy "Cushman" Schrader.

Survived by her longtime companion, L. Warren Patterson. Daughter, Cynthia (Mark) Walker. Sister, Sara Bouchonville. Nephew, Brett Moyer. Many dear friends and colleagues.

Cynthia was the Department director of Microbiology at Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY. She was an advocaat for CAMP. A group of citizens saving the Cattaraugus County Memorial and Historical Building, Citizens Advocating Memorial Preservation honored all Civil War soldiers, along with servicemen and servicewomen who made the ultimate sacrifice from the Revolutionary War through present-day conflicts.

Interested descendants of members of the 154th Civil War Regiment, made up of men from Cattaraugus and Chautauqua counties, asked the county to delay its demolition to pursue efforts to preserve it. The group of individuals later formed C.A.M.P. Cynthia will be sadly by all that knew her.

Cynthia & Cyndie Jr. are the very bestest of friends as Mother & Daughter. Their very favorite activities were going on spontaneous adventures outside, driving on dirt roads and picking wild berries. My Mom knew the names of almost every wildflower and bird variety.

C &C also spent plenty of quality time gardening and doing yardwork since their childhood. I will miss spending the rest of my life with my beloved Mother VERY much!!

The family will receive friends from 1-3pm Sunday August 10, 2025 at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. (west of Long Pond Rd.) A memorial service will be held following visitation at 3pm in the chapel of the funeral home.
