A message of Daisie’s son, John:

It is with great sadness that I share the fact of my mom’s passing, after a long 10 year battle with dementia. Mom was born on December 27, 1926 to unknown biological parents and was adopted and raised by William and Rose Chilson of Canisteo, NY. Mom’s several marriages produced 5 children of which I, John, only remain. She went from house-wife to trophy secretary through several hard fought years and still tried to raise a family. Mom loved us and her two cats, George and Goofus, and our faithful dog, Scooby Doo. My mom was a no-nonsense, kind soul, loving, intelligent, a cross-word whizz, a great cook, and a loving homemaker. And she will be heartfully missed.
