Dane Kosic

Dane Kosic, a distinguished mechanical engineer, passed away peacefully in Rochester on April 17, 2026. Born on August 14, 1955, in Gracac, Croatia, Dane’s life was marked by a quiet dedication to his work and a deep commitment to his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Vera Mojsovska Kosic, and his devoted brothers Mile (Milica), Peco (Yolanda), Peco, and Pero Kosic. He also leaves behind his sister Mira (Jovo), along with cherished nephews Sasa Kosic, Milorad, Milena Milanko, and Jovana Pavlovic; nieces Elena and Mira Kosic; and dear brothers-in-law Kire (Miljana) and Bogoja (Blaga) Mojsovska. His sisters-in-law, Zora and Violeta Mojsovska, also mourn his loss.

Dane was predeceased by his parents, Simo and Marija (Philipovic) Kosic, whose legacy of strength and love he carried throughout his life.

A viewing to honor and remember Dane Kosic will be held on April 20, 2026, from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm at the NewComer Funeral Home, Westside, located at 2636 Ridgeway Ave, Rochester, NY 14626. Friends, family, and all whose lives were touched by Dane are welcome to gather in celebration of his life.

Dane Kosic’s memory will endure in the hearts of all who knew him, a testament to a life well lived with purpose, kindness, and unwavering dedication. He will be profoundly missed and fondly remembered.
