Daniel V. Ryan Jr. "Vinnie"
Irondequoit: Passed away peacefully with his family beside him on Monday, April 4th, 2011, at age 89. Predeceased by his parents, brother, sister and infant son. Survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Mary (Keenan); sons, Jerry (Lynn) and Daniel III (Mary) Ryan; daughter, Terri (Larry) Roggow; grandchildren, Beau, Amanda, Brigette, Ryan and Mary; great-grandchildren, Diamond, Victory and Jason; several step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dan was a retired Captain of the RFD after 35 years of service. He was also a WWII Army Veteran who served overseas in the PTO. He volunteered with RPO, RMSC and the VA Hospital in Canandaigua. Dan was an exemplary member of the Greatest Generation.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 8th from 4-8 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Saturday, at the Peace of Christ Parish at St. James Church. Private interment at St. Rose Cemetery in Lima, NY.
