Darryl L. Kittelberger

Darryl L. Kittelberger, born December 21, 1959, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026. A devoted son, brother, father, and deacon, Darryl’s life was marked by his unwavering commitment to helping others and his profound devotion to his faith.

Throughout his career with the Rochester City School District, Darryl lent a compassionate hand to countless parents, serving as a pillar of support and guidance. His dedication to the wellbeing of families within the community reflected his generous spirit and heartfelt desire to make a positive difference in the lives around him.

Known for being a loving person who was always ready to help, Darryl’s kindness extended beyond his professional role. He took immense pride in his service as a deacon at the Restoration House of Prayer, a position he cherished deeply. His spiritual leadership was a testament to his faith and his enduring commitment to his church family.

Darryl’s passions enriched his life in meaningful ways. He found great joy in spending time at Canandaigua Lake, embracing the natural beauty and tranquility it offered. Additionally, his love of thrift store shopping brought a playful and adventurous element to his days, reflecting a character full of warmth and curiosity.

He is survived by his beloved sons, Jayden and Terell; his sister, Pamela (Willie) Jackson-Yielder; brothers, Ernest Jr. (Paula), Gary (Debbie), Barry, and Wayne (Crystal); sister-in-law Sandra, and brother Jimmy; his former partner and long-time friend, Kari; and special people to his heart, Dionne Sander, Sharde Ivy, and John Perry. They, along with many others whose lives he touched, will carry forward his legacy of love, faith, and service. Darryl was preceded in death by his cherished parents, Jean and Ernest Sr., and brothers, Fredrick and Gerald.

Family, friends, and all who knew him are invited to honor Darryl’s memory and celebrate his life on May 30, 2026. The viewing will take place from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at In Christ New Hope Ministry, Inc., located at 155 Pinnacle Rd, Rochester, NY 14623. A funeral service will immediately follow from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the same location.

Darryl L. Kittelberger’s legacy of kindness, faith, and dedication remain an enduring inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His presence will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will continue to guide and uplift those he held dear.
