David R. Bour

David R. Bour, 83, passed away peacefully on July 24th, 2026.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Georgianna (Fornataro) Bour; his children, David Jr., Steven (Holly), and Jennifer; his grandchildren, Jenna DiNapoli, Paige, Mallory, and Amber Bour; his great-grandson, Jionni Telaro; his sister, Linda Kirchoff and his nephew, Michael Kirchoff.

He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond K. Bour and Anna F. Bour.

David shared 62 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Georgianna.

He retired as a supervisor from General Motors, but retirement simply marked the beginning of his next chapter. Never one to sit still, he continued working for many years afterward, always believing in the value of hard work.

He took immense pride in everything he did, and it showed. His yard was meticulously maintained and often looked as though it belonged in a magazine, with much of his free time happily spent outdoors caring for his home.

He also had a lifelong passion for classic and unique automobiles. He loved collecting special cars and took great pride in preserving them, often choosing to admire them rather than drive them.

Known to many as “Grandpa Kitty,” the nickname was lovingly given to him by his first granddaughter because of his lifelong love for animals. He found joy in feeding the birds and squirrels, caring for stray cats, and making sure every creature that crossed his path was looked after.

His beloved dog, Bentley, was his faithful companion for the past 13 years and held a special place in his heart. Even throughout his battle with dementia, one of the things he never forgot was to ask about Bentley.

His strong work ethic, pride in his work, and dedication to providing for his family will be remembered always.
