Dawayne Lee Scott

On June 13, 2026, God called my son home. Dawayne Lee Scott was born to Omega Bailey
and Thomas E. Scott in Rochester, NY. He attended Rochester Institute of Technology
through BOCES, where he graduated on June 21, 2014.
Dawayne was a happy and quiet young man who loved his family deeply. His sister, Adrienne
Bailey, was his "go-to" person, and he loved her very much. He was also incredibly close to
his two brothers, Thomas "TJ" Scott and Michael Scott. A true mommy’s boy, Dawayne loved
to spend weekends with his mother. They would sit for hours while she braided his hair,
enjoying each other's company while she cooked his favorite dishes, especially fried chicken
and shrimp. Dawayne was raised by his father. His Aunt Gale McGee also helped raise him,
whom he loved very much.
Dawayne was predeceased by his father, Thomas E. Scott. He leaves to cherish his memory
his loving mother, Omega Bailey; his siblings, Adrienne Bailey, Thomas Scott (Tara), and
Michael Scott; his special cousins, Shauna Auld, DeCarlis Madison, and Tiffany McGee; and
a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and dear friends. We invite family and friends to join us in honoring and celebrating his life. The funeral arrangements are as follows, "Funeral Service "is Tuesday June 23rd at 11 am at "Amazing Grace" 972 Hudson Ave, Rochester NY 14621.
