Rochester: At The Woodlands, TX, on May 1, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer, Deborah went to be with the Lord. Preceded in death by her father, Laurence S. Atwood. Survived by her husband, Norman W.; daughters, Marcia (Dain) Luke of Spring, TX, and Lauren Turner of Rochester, NY; mother, Joyce Atwood of Hamburg, NY; her sister, Kathleen Atwood of Norton, MA; and brother, Michael Atwood of Buffalo, NY; 3 grandchildren, Ryan, Ally and Alyssa; and a multitude of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Deborah spent over 20 years as a Girl Scout leader and has touched the lives of so many young people, through Girl Scouts and as a member of her community.

A Mass will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2012, at 9:30 AM at St. Theodore's Church, 168 Spencerport Rd., Gates, NY, followed by a Celebration of Her Life at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., Rochester, NY from 2 PM to 5 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in her memory be made to the Girl Scouts of Western NY at www.gswny.org/pages/Donate.aspx
