Rochester/Albion - Passed away on July 27, 2019 at the age of 89.
Predeceased by her parents, Lena Cunliffe and John Barnes; sister, Patricia (Triss) Barnes; brother, J. David Barnes.
She is survived by her husband of seventy years, Tom; son, Eric; daughter, Candy (Jerry) Fasano; special niece, Kathi Hartgrove and nephew, Jerry Hartgrove Jr.; brother-in-law, Charles (Cathy) Hockenberry of AZ; brother-in-law, Jim (Joanne) Hockenberry of PA; many nieces, nephews, cousins; and her two beloved cats, Chita and Kibibi.
Dee was the author of seventeen books featuring vintage teddy bears and animals. She was a contributing writer to the magazine "Teddy Bear & Friends."
She and Tom loved to travel and visited 64 countries.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Dee's name may be made to Paws Animal Shelter, 3371 Gaines Basin Road, Albion, NY 14411.
There will be no calling hours and the interment will be at the convenience of the family.
