Greece: Sunday, January 1, 2012. Born January 12, 1937 in Auburn, NY. Predeceased by his parents, Charles and Myrtle (Stoneburg) Young, brother, Raymond and infant son, Roy Charles. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Janet (Van Patten); sons, David Sr. (Jeannine), Steven, Sr., Andrew (Terry), Mark (Mari) and Donald Jr. (Elizabeth); 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert (Clara), Richard (Elaine); sisters, Jean (Tim) Howard, Janet (Al) Sharp, Linda Lansbury; sisters-in-law, Joanne Young, Joyce Taddeo and Dorothy Ann (Ernie) Bullovant; brother-in-law, Mario "Mike" (Louise) Mana. Donald retired from Wegmans Food Market Bakery after 45 years of service. Served as President, Treasurer and Recording Secretary for BCTGM Local 116 and enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and occasional trips to the Casino. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff, nurses and doctors at Strong Memorial Hospital 8th Floor, 1600 IC Unit for their care, treatment and dignity that all extended towards Donald and his family.
The family will receive friends Wednesday (TODAY), January 4th from 6-8 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., where Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 11 AM. Entombment Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributionis may be directed to the Wilmot Cancer Center.
