December 19, 1927 — January 2, 2016
A loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away on Saturday, January 2nd, 2016, surrounded by his family.
Predeceased by his son, Donald C. Furlong in 2011
Survived by his wife of 65 years, Bonnie; son, Dale (Sally); daughter, Denise (Mark) Ellis; grandchildren, Michael, Michelle (Scott), and Jessica; sister, Carolyn Prattico; nieces, nephews, and many close friends.
Born in Hornell, NY, Don was a Veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Don was also a retiree of Building #29 of Eastman Kodak, a member of the A.P.A. (Pool), Men's Euchre Club of Rochester, Hornell Alumni Association, C.C.A. Volunteer, and a member of the American Legion.
He was a great basketball player and was an inductee of the H.H.S. Sports Hall of Fame.
Don enjoyed many years on Canandaigua Lake, fishing and boating.

Family and friends may call at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue on Thursday, January 7, from 4 to 7pm. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 8, at 11:00am at the funeral home.
