Donald Pedalino, born on September 26, 1937, peacefully passed away on April 28, 2026 after a courageous and brave battle with an illness. Donald was a man who knew the true meaning of family and was liked by all who knew him.
Donald is lovingly survived by his wife of 64 years, Jean; his children Vincent Pedalino, MaryAnn (John) Vaccarelli and Donna (John) Serenka; grandchildren Anthony, John and Donald Vaccarelli, Jennifer Mayer and David (Mackenzie) King; his precious great-grandchildren Wyatt and Grayson King, Elliana and Sophia Mayer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Rose.
Donald was proud of being employed as a pipe coverer for Eastman Kodak Company for over 30 years.
Donald’s greatest joy was raising his children with his wife and spending time with family. In retirement, Donald and Jean enjoyed the Silver Sneakers program at the YMCA. Donald could be found walking on a treadmill for an hour daily, well into his early eighties.
But what he will be remembered most for came from the times he spent with his family. A devoted son who took care of his mother, a father who led by example, a grandfather who was supportive and loving and a great-grandfather whose face would light up each time he saw them.
Some memorable experiences he shared with his children include bowling with his son Vincent, watching his wife teach his daughter, MaryAnn learn to make the sauce and enjoying it every Sunday and holiday, and sharing and celebrating his birthday with his daughter, Donna.
Donald also loved sitting outside in the sun, finding peace in simple moments and cheering on the Buffalo Bills.
While he moved through life with a quiet reserve and humility, those who truly knew him recognized the immeasurable love that radiated from his presence.
A private celebration of life will be held with immediate family only.
