DJ took great pride in her career as a Registered Nurse. During that time she deeply cared for her patients and advocated for their dignity and comfort.
A passionate lover of classical music and opera, she sang with the Rochester Oratorio Society. Music was a constant comfort and joy throughout her life.
DJ savored the simple things: dark chocolate, a delicious meal, a good British television drama, reading mystery novels, and the beauty of Irish culture. She loved taking in nature, going on family trips to the Adirondacks, birdwatching, and simply admiring wildlife in her yard.
She will be remembered for her sense of humor, exceptional intelligence, proper manners, as well as her love for the environment and the importance of recycling. Family and friends will miss her wit, grammar corrections, and love for her family.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
