Hefner, Dorothy M. (Elkins)
Shortsville: Suddenly, September 12, 2014, at age 71. She is predeceased by her parents, James and Bertha Elkins; and brother, Richard Elkins. Survived by her loving husband, Milton Hefner; children, David (Donna) Hefner, Laurie (John Staples) Hefner-Staples, John (Azy Bitaraf) Hefner, Danny Hefner & Jennifer Hefner; her grandchildren, Nicholas and Kristina Hefner and Ashkan Bahrami; brother, James (Tammy) Elkins; brother-in-law, Robert (Sharon) Hefner; sisters-in-law, Lucille (George) Gleichauf, Mary Elkins; many nieces, nephews & friends; and special cousins, Kathy Wilson & Gail Vincent. Dorothy was a daycare and foster mother for over 25 years.
Friends and family may call Monday, Sept. 15th, 4-7 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd. Her Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday at 11 AM in St. Joseph's Church, 43 Gebhardt Rd., Penfield, NY. Interment, White Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
