Ed L. Dunmore

Ed Louis Dunmore (82) of Rochester NY. 

Passed away on August 24th, 2026.

Ed Louis Dunmore arrived in Rochester, NY in 1963, looking for me, his wife. 

Eddie worked at Stromberg Carlson, Bausch and Lomb, and then at Eastman Kodak Company in 1968, where he began construction. He retired after 29 years, 11 months, and 2 weeks. He was married for 57 years and had a daughter, Ila. After he retired he drove the bus for Rochester City School District.

His family was always first and he did a very good job at it. He was a farmer in his own backyard. He always grew tomatoes and other vegetables.

Eddie believed in giving a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and he east for a lifetime. Fishing was his hobby. 

Eddie was loved by his family, and we will miss him. 

Predeceased by his Parents, Middleton Dunmore and Ila Dunmore. 

Ed survived by his loving wife Luella Dunmore; Daughter, Ila Dunmore; Grandchildren Lataira and Loronzo Maurice (Kara) . Great grandchildren, Tahmaj, Loronzo Alexander, and Leia . Host of nieces and nephews.

 He grew up along with his siblings, predeceased Willie James ( Peral ) Dunmore . Predeceased Amos ( Lojay) Dunmore. Predeceased Metta (James ) Rush .Predeceased Etta ( Roy) Murphy. Predeceased Nancy Dunmore. Joe ( Annie ) Dunmore and Apostle Ron ( artice) Dunmore.

 Family will receive friends September 5th, 2026 from 10:00 am to 12: 00pm, with a service from 12:00pm to 2pm at Newcomer cremation & Funeral located at 6 Empire Boulevard. Contribution may be may to Luella Dumore . Please visit the guest book. After service please join us at Creekside Lodge in Ellison Park 394 Rich's Dugway Road Rochester NY 14625 Saturday, September 5th after the service.
