Edna B. Foster

Edna B. Foster, born December 11, 1934, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, creativity, and resilience that touched all who knew her.

Throughout her ninety-one years, Edna embraced life with quiet strength and a gentle spirit. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her family, weathering life's joys and challenges with unwavering love and grace. Edna’s home was always rich with affection and welcome, a gathering place for her children and later, their families.

She was a woman of varied interests, expressing her creativity through plastic canvas crafts and nurturing her love of problem-solving with puzzles. Her nimble hands and sharp mind created countless keepsakes, each one a testament to the care and patience she poured into all she did. These hobbies brought her countless hours of joy and offered her family tangible reminders of her talent and affection.

Edna’s love and devotion will be dearly missed by her surviving children: her son James Foster and his wife Linda; her daughter Sheila Foster and her fiancée Radames Crespo-Class; and her daughter Robin Gaudioso and her husband Steve; her several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frederick Foster, as well as her son, Steven Foster. Their memories, and the shared love they cultivated, remain an enduring comfort to those who grieve her loss.

To honor Edna’s memory, her family and friends are invited to attend visitation hours on Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at New Comer Funeral Home, Westside, located at 2636 Ridgeway Ave, Rochester, NY 14626. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., also at New Comer Funeral Home, Westside.

Edna B. Foster’s legacy lives on in the hearts of her loved ones and in the simple, beautiful moments she so treasured. She will be remembered with profound love and deep gratitude for a life well lived.
