Greece: Was called home to be with the Lord Thursday, October 6, 2011 at age 71. A beloved Mom, Grandma, Gigi and friend, Edna Gaffney known by friends as Faye. She served in the US Army where she met and married William F. Gaffney, who passed in 1990. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Teri Oliver, Patricia (Agostino) Ranieri and son, David Gaffney. She was grandma to 5 grandchildren, Joanna (Lori Olaf), Concetta (Steven) Fugle, Amanda, Scott, Amy and Gigi to 4 great-grandchildren, Caleb, Izzebella, Sawyer, Elizabeth.

She lived her life to the fullest, surrounded herself with those she loved. She was not one to back down from her beliefs and she often combined talks of Politics and Religion over family dinner but at the end of a day spent with her it didn't matter what side of the conversation you fell on, you always knew you were loved and respected. She leaves behind a legacy of telling you that you are enough and loved just the way you are.

Friends and family may call on Tuesday, October 11th from 4-6 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave, where her Memorial Ceremony will be celebrated following the calling at 6 PM. Private Interment.
