Edna S. O'Neill

Rush: Edna Susan O'Neill, was taken home January 9th, 2015 surrounded by family. Edna was a kind and loving soul who was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 23, 1936. She was a dedicated daughter, sister, wife and mother who especially found joy in the outdoors and singing. Edna's occupations were a singer, homemaker, seamstress, jam maker, real estate manager, and caregiver. Her spirit remained despite the effects of Alzheimer's Disease.

Edna is predeceased by her parents, Cormick and Elizabeth Hearn. She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years Michael; her children, Michael, Dennis (Shirley), Arthur (Maureen), Edna, and James (Kelly); Grandchildren, Khayla, Maggie, Daniel, Courtney (Conor) McHale, Katie, Karli and Connor; Great grandchildren, Scarlett and Archer; Sisters Teresa Basso, Joan Jendras, brother Peter Hearn and numerous nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 14 from 4:00 to 6:00 at the Newcomer Funeral Home – Westside Chapel 2636 Ridgeway Ave. A Service to celebrate Edna's life will follow.

Interment will be on Thursday, January 15 at 11:00 at Pine Hill Cemetery.
