Edward W. Chasse

Caledonia, New York

Passed away on July 3, 2026 at the age of 81. Born September 17, 1944. Known as “Puts” or “Puddles” in his hometown of Millinocket, Maine, where he grew up. Ed was a standout drummer in the Katahdin Rangers Drum and Bugle Corps and a graduate of Sterns High School. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force before going on to a career at Kodak in Rochester, N.Y. There he enjoyed friendships and community with many other transplants from the Millinocket region and met his lifelong partner, Linda. They were married 58 years and had three children, Laurie, Jeff and Todd. Edward was a gentle and caring man with a huge heart and a good word for everyone in his presence. He will be missed by all that knew him.

He is survived by his Loving Wife, Lynda Chasse; Children, Laurie (Matt) Dollard, Jeff Chasse, and Todd (Kim Kneer) Chasse; Siblings, Daniel (Patsy Deschenes) Chasse, Joie (Jim Whitehead) Chasse, Kim (Renee St.Jean) Chasse, Renee "Tiny" Chasse (Jere "Jug" McCarthy), and Tanya (Leszek Wajler) Chasse; Grandchildren, Sean Dollard, Rachael Dollard, Matt Dollard, Erin Chasse, Amy Chasse, Alison (Caleb VanBuren) Chasse, Joshua (Sara Laurie) Chasse, Maddi Grace Tedesco, Shauna Chasse, Chris Chasse, and Nick (Alexis Horton) Chasse; Great-grandchildren, Caden Hyde-Hamilton, Zane, Skyleigh, and Tristan; many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
