Edward R. Conte

Passed unexpectedly May 2, 2021 at the age of 75.

Predeceased by his wife, Sandra Conte; father, Edward T. Conte; father & mother in law, Sam & Katherine Scofero; god parents, Anthony & Josephine Lucia; & dog, Dude.

Survived by his children, Edward S. (Marlene) Conte, Todd (Holly) Conte, Carrie (Ken) Ray, & Sam Conte; many grandchildren & great grandchildren; mother, Carole Conte; siblings, Timothy (Rosemary) Conte, Jan (John) Conte-Kelly, & Jill Conte-Coakley; aunt, Florence Dargento; many nieces, nephews, & cousins; close friends, Reba Gnann, Kathy McDonough-Olney, Dr. Morris Wortman, & David Schmerbeck; & many other family & friends.

Ed is an alumni of Madison High School, & football team, class of 1964. He is a Veteran of the United States Air Force. Ed is a retiree from Citibank after working with them for 25 years.

He was an avid hunter & fisherman. Ed loved playing poker, preferring Texas Hold'em. He loved music especially country & Sam Cooke.

Ed had a strong faith in god, accepted everyone at face value with no judgment, & was a wonderful friend.

All who knew Ed will remember his incredible sense of humor, love for life, & passion for the Cleveland Browns.

Visitation will be Friday June 18, 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. Inturnment will be private at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
