Eladio Pagan, age 59, of Rochester, New York, entered into eternal rest on April 30, 2026. Born on November 28, 1966, he was the beloved son of the late Eladio Pagan Sr. and Maria Mercado.
A man of character and technical skill, Eladio was well known for his deep passion for automobiles and motorcycles. This interest was more than a hobby; it was a craft he pursued with dedication throughout his life. Furthermore, Eladio possessed a deep love for the vibrant traditions of Salsa music, finding joy and connection in its rhythms. Among his peers and colleagues, Eladio was held in high regard, earning a reputation as a well-respected friend and a man of integrity within his community.
His greatest legacy remains his family. Eladio is survived by his devoted son, Eladio Pagan Jr., and Elizabeth Lugo, the mother of his son. He also leaves behind his brothers, Luis Antonio Pagan and Jose Plaza, along with Jose's wife, Christine; and his sisters, Marisol Benítez and her husband Rich, and Migdalia Laureano and her husband Johnathan.
His memory will be further cherished by his many nieces and nephews: Giovanni Pagan, Noah Plaza, Mirani Maldonado, Leandro Laureano, Lorenzo Laureano, Juan Ricardo Benítez, Alejandro BenÍtez, Antonio Benítez, Claudia Benítez, and Mateo Benítez.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a formal viewing on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, located at 6 Empire Boulevard, Rochester, NY.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in his honor on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 12:30 PM at Saint Rita Church, 1008 Maple Drive, Webster, NY. Following the Mass, family and friends are warmly invited to join us for a reception at 2:30 PM at Harris Whalen Lodge located off Route 441 in Penfield.
