Rochester: Entered into rest March 2, 2014 at age 84.
She is predeceased by her parents, Donald and Laura Fitch; sisters, DeDee and Virginia; her wonderful husband, Jack R.P. Mellema. Survived by her children, Lloyd (Karen) Mellema, Don (Mary Jo Geist) Mellema, Brenda (Jim) Pentycofe and William Mellema; blessed with grandchildren, Heather, Kevin, Kristin, Katie, Timothy, Tyler, Emmy, Bradley, Krystal, Angel, Venessa and Rosie; great-grandchildren, Chad, Myra, Luca, Riley and Bridgette; brother and sister, Warren Fitch and Carol Britton.
Elaine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Family will receive friends Friday March 7th, 2-4 & 7-9 at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue.
The family will meet at Irondequoit Cemetery for the interment, on Saturday at 11 AM.
NOTE DATE CHANGE: Memorial Service, Wednesday March 19th at 7PM at Greece Baptist Church, 1230 Long Pond Road, Rochester.
