Ellen Patricia Deegan

Ellen Patricia Deegan, age 67, of Rochester, New York, peacefully passed away on June 21st, 2026.

Born on May 15th, 1959, to John and Patricia Deegan, Ellen brought an abundance of light, pure joy, and unconditional love into the world. Her smile and laughter were a gift, and you always wanted to be around her. She only knew the true meaning of kindness and love.

She is survived by her devoted brother and sister, John (Karie) Deegan & Karen Pearson; favorite brother-in-law, Jeff Pearson; nieces and nephews, Brandon (Cori) Pearson, Katie (Todd) Wingrove, Emily (Tyler) Harris, Jessica (Rob) McClaren, Amanda (Joe) Buchel, Rebecca (William) Francis, & Mathew Deegan; many great nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ellen truly loved life and spent her time doing what made her happiest. She was a passionate fan of the Buffalo Bills, completing word search books, and Bingo. Spent countless hours watching her favorite TV show Little House on the Prairie. Ellen brought immense pride to her family through her participation in Lifetime Assistance for the last 46 years, from workshop, day-hab and eventually in residence.

Ellen was blessed to have her dedicated caregivers and friends at Lifetime Assistance – Andiron House, who became a second family to her. The Deegan family will be forever grateful to Melissa Leone for the love and kindheartedness she gave Ellen from the beginning of her residence at Andiron.

A celebration of Ellen’s life will be held on Friday 26th 2026 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at New Comer Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue in Greece, NY. Interment will be held on Saturday June 27th at 10:30am at Falls Cemetery (Ridge Road Cemetery) corner of Ridge Rd & Latona Rd, Greece NY.
