Longo, Ergie R.

Rochester: June 26, 2013 at age 85. He was predeceased by his
parents, Louis and Flavia; wife, Violet; brother, Joseph Longo;
sister, Beatrice Tarana. Survived by his children, Laura (Gary)
Leaton, Lisa Scalone, Louis (Vicki) Longo; grandchildren, John (Brenda)
Whiting, Nicholas and Alyssa Longo; great-grandchildren, Brett and
Hannah Whiting; sister, Margaret Sementelli; sister-in-law, Virginia
Longo; many nieces and nephews; life-long friend, John Mazzarella.

Ergie was a Naval Veteran of WWII. He worked over 40 years as
a Postal Clerk for the U.S. Postal Service, where he was also the
Treasurer of the Credit Union. He enjoyed jazz and opera, Finger
Lakes Race Track with Arnie and hanging with the boys.

Friends and family may call Sunday June 30th 4-7PM at New Comer
Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. Funeral Services and Interment
will be held privately. In lieu of flowers contributions may be
made to WXXI.
