It is with complete shock and utter sadness, we share that Erica passed away suddenly on Wednesday, September 2, 2026. Predeceased by her Father, Roger Cook.
Survived by her Mother, Michelle (Mark) Wiest, Sister, Nicole & (Adam) Tesavis; niece and nephews, Samuel, Luke and Emma; Brother, Justin Wiest (Madison) and Sister, Kayla Wiest. Grandmother Patricia Hahnel (Steve Klem) and Barbara Cook. Many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
After her dad passed she kept a close eye on her uncles and formed a special bond with them. Cared for them and leaned on them for comfort.
Erica was a loving, selfless, happy person who would drop everything to lend a hand. She had the best laugh and smile that was contagious. Erica enjoyed being outside, at the lake, boating, fishing, or swimming with her family. She loved to read and getting lost in a good book like her Mom. A determined, motivated hard worker with a work ethic anyone can rely on. She enjoyed helping anyone with a paint project and learned her skills from her Dad. She was never on time and usually last to leave any family gathering. A great person to talk to if you ever needed someone to lean on and just listen. Erica loved her family and friends and made an impact on those she came across.
She persevered through life’s unfortunate circumstances and experienced tremendous loss in a short time. She had a positive outlook and always pushed through. Gone way too soon with so much to live for, she will be greatly missed by so many. She cared for so many people in her life, she was a loving support and a great daughter, grand daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend.
The family will receive friends 11-2pm Saturday September 12, 2026 at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. (Greece location). A memorial service will follow visitation in the chapel of the funeral home promptly at 2pm.
