Went home to be with the Lord Monday, March 21, 2016 at age 88. Predeceased by husband Azer Sifain; brother, Aziz Ouza Makkar; sisters, Malaka Ouza Makkar and Aziza Ouza Makkar; daughter-in-law, Mary Sifain.
She is survived by her sons Joseph (Jeannette) Sifain, Michael (Rachel) Sifain, Albair (Janet) Sifain, Leon (Laila) Sifain and Edward Sifain; grandchildren, Claudine (Alfred) Sifain, Nader (Nancy) Sifain, Basem Sifain, Michelle Sifain, Mina (Marina) Sifain, George Sifain and Andrew Sifain; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Michael Ouza Makkar; many nieces and nephews.
Estira was very faithful to God and her family and dedicated her life to serving others.
Family will receive friends 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., Rochester, NY 14626. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 720 W. Main St., Rochester, NY 14611. Interment, White Haven Memorial Park, Pittsford, NY. Family and friends are invited to lunch in her memory at the parish hall of St. Mark Orthodox Church, 530 Leheigh Station Rd., Henrietta, NY at 2:00 PM on Thursday March 24, 2016.
